Ng - Lucky"Waiting For Godot" will mark John’s second stint as an actor with Modern Times; he appeared in the role of the First Mate in the company’s co-production (with Cahoots Theatre Projects) of "The Sheep And The Whale" at Theatre Passe Muraille in 2007. As a playwright, he recently completed "Peace, Land And Bread" for the Rideau Project (Magnetic Ottawa), a short piece on Igor Gouzenko, the Soviet spy whose defection to Canada in 1945 ignited the Cold War. John is currently developing a full-length work, "The Wonders Of Larry Kwong", about the first Asian hockey player in the National Hockey League and his head-on encounter with Rocket Richard.
