Macbeth
(remount in Toronto)
by William Shakespeare
Adapted by Soheil Parsa and Peter
Farbridge
First produced
at Buddies in Bad Times
October 19 to
November 5, 1995
"...one of the most
inventively staged Shakespearean productions
I have ever seen." The Globe and Mail

Macbeth broke through conventional political and psychological interpretations of this classic work to expose its metaphysical roots. Nine actors in simple black costumes interpreted all the roles with scarves to delineate character. A round disk in the middle of the stage served for a set; some cloth, a bowl and two flashlights were the only props.
